CLARA BOW MAKES DISCOVERY
ACTS WITHOUT MAKE-UP Clara Bow’s make-up for the motion picture camera is the envy of all the stars of Hollywood, for she uses only powder, dispensing with the cream base and the grease paints that others find indispensable. It saves her hours of time. Two cameramen—Hal Rosson and James Murray —met Miss Bow one morning before she had applied her cosmetics. They were impressed by her unusually fair skin and agreed that she would photograph as well, if not better, with powder alone than with the; flesh-toned grease paint customarily used. The cyclonic Clara followed their advice. She wears her simplified make-up in her newests starring Paramount comedy, “Rough House Rosie,” which is being directed by Fraaik Strayer.
