As compared with closing rates of last series best scoured merino Id to lid lower; other descriptions scoured merino par to 2d lower; greasy merino par to Id lower; greasy halfbred unchanged; greasy medium and fine crossbred id to 2d lower except superior, which is unchanged; coarse crossbred id to id lower; scoured crossbred unchanged; fine slipe par to Id lower; other slipe unchanged; merino lambs unchanged; crossbred lamb Id to Id lower. Offered 96,724 bales, Continent have bought 46,000 bales; Home trade 26,600 bales; America 1500 bales; carried forward 43,500 bales of which 26,000 not offered. The following is the range of prices:— Merino, good to super 22i<3, low to medium 18id to 21id; half-bred 56/58, good to super 22d to 25d, low to medium 18d to 21d; half-bred 50/56. good to super 19d to 22d; fine crossbred 48/50, good to super 164 d to 20d, low to medium 14d to 16d; fine crossbred 46/48, good to super 15|d to 174 d, low to medium 13Jd to 15d; crossbred 44/46, good to super 14|d to 16d, low to medium -12*2d to 14d; crossbred 40/44, good to super 13Ad to 14id, low to medium 12d to 13|d; coarse crossbred 36/40, good to super 13d to 13|d, medium to good lid to 12jd. Crossbred greasy comeback, market shows no material change; crossbred greasy fine, market irregular; crossbred greasy medium, declined 5 per ednt.; crossbred greasy coarse, par to 5 per cent, advance; crossbred lambs greasy par to 5 per cent, decline.
