THE MARQUIS DI PINEDO
ARRIVED AT MONTREAL FASCISTS EXTEND WARM WELCOME * . Received May 18, 10.45 p.m. (A. & N.Z.) OTTAWA, May 17. The Marquis de Pinedo arrived at Montreal, making a safe landing in Montreal Harbour. He was greeted by tremendous throngs of Fascists. He expressed gratification at seeing so many black shirts on hand. The aviator was officially welcomed by »Signor Roncarclli, Italian Consul and the head of the Canadian Fascist! and was the guest of honour at a banquet given by the local Italian colony, by whom he was presented with a model of Santa Maria, Columbus’ ship, to which aeroplane wings had been added. His next scheduled landing will be at Trespass Bay Newfoundland.
