GOLF [ From the “ Chronicle’s ” Special Correspondent. ] The draw for the ladies’ golf competition this week-end is as follows: — Mrs Mortland v. Mrs Ongley, Mrs Hamill v. Mrs Condor, Mrs Beale v. Mrs Bradley, Miss Arthur v. Mrs Leighton, Mrs Nicholls v. Mrs Arthur, Mrs Hay v. Mrs Wakeman, Mrs O’Callaghan v. Miss Cleary, Mrs Neagle v. Miss O’Callaghan, Miss Sexton v. Miss Addis, Mrs McKenzie v. Mrs Addis, Miss McCormick v. Mrs Hintz, Miss Hintz a bye. Miss Dickenson v. Mrs Armstrong. For Thursday afternoon:—Mrs McKenzie v. Mrs Addis, Mrs O’Callaghan v. Miss Cleary, Miss Dickenson v. Mrs Armstrong, Mrs Hay v. Mrs Wakeman. In the bogey match last week-end Mrs Armstrong won the A grade being two down and in the B grade Mrs Neagle. was first 2 down and Miss Dickensen four down. FOOTBALL The Taihape Rugby Sub-Union met on Monday evening when the following draw took place for the first round of the championship:—Seniors: Pirates v. Hautapu No. 1 ground 2.45; Huias v. Old Boys No. 2 ground 2.45. Juniors: Hautapu v. Mangaweka at Mangawcka; Old Boys v. Pirates No. 1 ground at 1.30 p.m.; Utiku v. Railways No. 2 ground at 1.30 p.m. WAR MEMORIAL
