WANGANUI SUB-UNION WEEKLY MEETING HELD KING’S BIRTHDAY FIXTURES The Wanganui R-ugby Sub-Union mot last evening when there wore present: Mr A. J. Weekes (chair), Father Mahony, and Messrs F. J. Burton R. Blennerhassett, A. Fownnll’ P. Wilson, A. Takarangl, H. McFocly’ G. Thompson, L. Fromon’t, C. H. Pownall an>d H. W. Cooper (secretary). There was a lengthy discussion concerning the use of the official seats on the Spriggens Park grandstand by persons not entitled to do so. Finally it was decided that five scats providing accommodation for 48 persons be set aside and marked for the solo use of the executive. It was decided to hold the junior seven-a-sidc tournament on the morning of Juno 3, as usual. Maoriland Cup Game The curtain-raiser to the tive match, Wanganui v. Taranaki o» Juno 3. was fixed as the Pirates v. Queen’s Park thirds game for the Maoriland Cup. On the same day Aramoho things will play Hawera thirds for a handsome cup, the match to be played on the Racecourse. Representative Match Prices for entrance to the June 3 representative match were fixed at the same as last year, namely 1/6 and 1/- with 6d for secondary school pupils and primary school children free. Players will be charged, one shilling. ARAMOHO CLUB All members of the Aramoho dub are requested to attend at Atkinson Park on Saturday next. Fourths will play Pirates at 2 p.m. Other members play Pirates at 3 p.m. All players arc to change in the Aramoho Boat Club. ’VARSITY TEAM FIRST GAME TO-DAY SYDNEY, May 17. The Manly team to oppose tho New Zealand University Rugby team in the first match of tho tour to-morrow is:— Mackay, Gordon, Doran, Newman. Hamill, Gibbons, Georgcson, Ruwald, Meldrum, Bridges, Telford, Bland, London, Thorn and Penfold.
