CANBERRA CONFERENCE DISPUTE IN NEW SOUTH WALES. (A. & N.Z.) CANBERRA, May 16. The Federal Conference of the Australian Labour Party further considered the position in New South Wales. It declared that the Conference held at Easter was unconstitutional and that the decision reached at the Conference would have no standing. The Conference endorsed the principle of the establishment in the Commonwealth of shipbuilding enterprise and the retention of the Commonwealth lino of steamers. The Conference passed a resolution re-affirming the necessity of vigorous, agitation for the abolition of compulsory military training.
