AUSTRALIAN LABOUR
CANBERRA CONFERENCE HEALING THE BREACH (A. & N.Z.) SYDNEY, May 14. At Canberra the Federal Conference of the Australian Labour Party adopted the report submitted to the committee appointed to effect a reconciliation between the Conroy and Seale factions in New South Wales. The report provides that another Labour Conference be summoned in New South Wales under the supervision of Federal officers. Both sections are to attend and no notice is to be taken of any explusions or suspensions arising out of the dispute. MR. LANG’S POSITION STILL BEHIND THE SEALE CONFERENCE (A. & N.Z.) SYDNEY, May 14. Mr J. T. Lang states that he is still behind Mr Scale, despite the Federal Australian Labour Party’s decisions. He thinks that the Federal Executive would not have taken up its present attitude if it had been fully acquainted with the position in New South Wales. A meeting of the Seale Executive resolved not to accept the Federal Conference’s decision or agree to compromise with those who had stultified progress of the great movement and wilfully betrayed their friend, Mr Lang.
