In one case he said his mother was dead. Chief-Detective Cummings described accused as a professional imposter. His mother was not in Cambridge. He had a wife and five children, four of the latter being in a State institution, and he had not paid for their keep. Accused was sentenced to six months ’ imprisonment. •
