A MELBOURNE MATCH EDWARDS DEFEATS MEESKE Received May 1, 5.5 p.m MELBOURNE, May 1. Billy Edwards defeated Billy Meeske by one fall to nil in a wrestling match. The bout was rough and exciting, both men fighting, punching and gouging. The contest was even until the sixth round when Edwards obtained a series of head-locks rendering Meeske nearly unconscious and enabling Edwards to pin him down. At one stage the referee was almost knocked out by a kick in the mouth.
