A WHIRLWIND
SHOP VERANDAH' TORN OFF UNPLEASANT VISITOR TO HAMILTON. (Special to “Chronicle.”) HAMILTON, April 29. A whirlwind visited Hamilton East and Claudelands this morning, working some havoc at Gadd’s Store, where it tore down a 60ft. sign erected on top of the building, along with tho brick parapet. The whole verandah was lifted bodily, pulling the uprights from their supports, and the whirlwind did minor damage to other buildings in the vicinity.
