ACCLIMATISATION
WANGANUI SOCIETY ANNUAL MEETING HELD. The annual meeting of the Wanganui Acclimatisation Society took place last evening, Mr. H. J. Duigan presiding. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—Patron: Mr. James Allison;' president, Mr. H. J. Duigan; vice-presidents, Messrs D. Boss, J. Farley, T. H. James; council, Messrs W. Ford, J. V. Blythe, R. L. Begg, J. Moore, W. Story, T. R. Bond, L. Sheppard, H. R. Beauchamp, R. P. Giblin, G. H. Handley, C. H. Chavtinnes, J. P. Watt, N - . Mackenzie-Forbes, W. H. Broome, and E. P. C. Vaughan. Votes of thanks wore passed to the honorary solicitor (Mr. W. A. Izard), the honorary auditor (Mr. T. Ballingall), and to the secretary (Mr. W. M. Falconer).
