REVENUE RETURNS FIGURES FOR THE QUARTER [Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, April 28. The total Post and Telegraph revenue of the Dominion for the quarter ending March 31. 1927 V vas £840,723, compared with £389,903 for the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The postal revenue was £405,442 in the 1927 quarter (compared with £388,413 for the same quarter last year) and the Telegraph revenue was £435.281 (compared with £450,489). The principal items in the Postal revenue were as follow (figures for the 1926 quarter are in parentheses):— Postages, £325,146 (312,481); miscellaneous receipts, £43,935 (£43,239). Tn the Telegraph revenue, telegrams accounted for £110,087 (£115,035); tolls £97,733 (£94,913); telephone exchanges £214.802 (£231,543). During the same quarter the withdrawals from the Post Office Savings Banks in the Dominion exceeded the deposits by £44.306, compared with an excess of £7184 in that quarter of 1926.
