PLENTY OF IT COMMUNIST SPY PLOT LONDON, April 26. Investigation by the French judicial authorities of Communist espionage schemes proves, says the Paris correspondent of the “Daily Mail,” the existence of a widespread attempt to undermine the army, navy ,and air force, and to paralyse public services in the event of internal disorder or war. The plot had ramifications in Britain, Switzerland, and other countries and it is understood that the British Government is watching the case with great interest. The eight persons arrested include Robert Schmid, who was in possession of £360, which he declared was the amount of pocket-money he usually carried. His correspondence showed that he had agents in London.
