BIRTHRATE FALLING LAST YEAR SHOWS BIG DECLINE Received April 28, 11 p.m. (A. & N.Z.) HOBART, April 28. Tasmania’s birthrate for 1926 was 23.5 per J 000, compared with 24.5 for the previous year, and was the lowest since 1850. The rate since 1913 has declined over 20 per cent. The birthrate in 1926 was the lowest on record.
