SCHOOLS AFFECTED SEVERE COLDS TOO (Special to ‘ Chronicle.’’) AUCKLAND April 28. At the moment the attendances at a number of Auckland schools are affected by an epidemic of mumps an ailment which often affects children and necessitates them receiving a careful recovery. In addition a number of children is affected by a severe form of cold which in some respects resembles whooping cough.
