The British Industries Fairs in London and Birmingham, which closed last mgnt, resulted in a record number or oruers being placed by home and overseas buyers. One of the features of the London Fair has been the increased demand tor Empire products. The Birmingham section estimates that the orders booked represent about £4,000,000, and that the business which will ultimately accrue will reach £18,000,000 to £20,000,000. Overseas buyers recognise and admit that this year has very definitely established the position of the BritYsa Industries Fair as a permanent institution which it is essential for them to visit before they go to Leipzig.
