Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents dated March s:—Frozen meat quotations (prices on a “delivered” basis, i.c., including storage charges, cartage, tools, etc.), are as follows:—Down lambs 28/42’s 9|d per ]b. best. North Island 10/42’s 9|d, ordinary North Island 18/42’s 9}d, second quality lambs B|d, best North Island wether sheep 48/64’s 63d, best North Island wether sheep 64/72’s 53d, ordinary North Island wether sheep 48/64’s 6id, North Island owes 48/64’s 3|d, North Island ewes 64/71’s 34d, New Zealand prime ox beef 160/220’s 3Ad. The market for lamb is veryw oak, with little demand, and consequently these quotations arc only nominal. The market is influenced by heavy arrivals of very cheap chilled beef.
