CARRIER’S DEATH
INJURIES PROVE FATAL THROWN OUT OF HIS CART Internal injuries, not at first apparent, proved fatal to John Keir, a carrier who was thrown out of his cart a« Gonville on Friday. The accident occurred when tho backband of the harness broke, the shafts dropping to the ground, so that the driver was thrown under a wheel, which passed over his body. No bones were broken, and though he was admitted to tho hospital, it was at first thought that he was not seriously hurt. Subsequently evidence of severe internal injuries developed, and the victim died on Saturday afternoon. Mr Kier was a well-known resident of Mosston. and his death will be widely regretted. He was 69 years of age, and leaves a grown up family.
