FLEMINGTON MEETING ENDS Received March 6, 5.5 p.m. MELBOURNE, March 6. There was a large attendance at Flemington races. Light rain fell after the second race but the weather became fine again. The going was good. Trivalve put in a great finishing run in the Gibson Carmichael Stakes and won brilliantly. Trainer Scobie scored his fifth success in this race. R. Lewis rode Trivalve. Three Kings led for a long way in the King’s Plate. Heroic was second early, and went to the front at the two furlongs, winning comfortably. The first mile was run in 1.484. Heroic was loudly cheered. Ho has now won nearly £39,000 in stakes. Heroic goes to the stud in August. Postscript, running near the inner rails, led always in the Leonard Stakes, and won easily. A. Wilson rode the winner. Postscript comes from Adelaide, and is trained by E. Hatwell. Biskra was fourth. Results: — Gibson Carmichael Stakes—Trivalve 9.3 1, Ulkami 7.11 2. Sacedon 8 5 3.
