TOURIST TRAFFIC
GROWING STEADILY A MINISTERIAL STATEMENT [ Per Press Association. ] WELLINGTON, Feb. 19. That the tourist traffic is undoubtedly on the up grade is shown by a statcirtent made by the Hon. W. A. Nosworthy to-day. Up to December 31, figures of the Statistical Department showed that a 30 per cent increase in numbers over the same period of the previous season. The actual cash bookings at the Department’s Bureaux were an advance of 10 per cent, and general revenue from all sources of the Department showed an upward tendency. Th figures are very heartening when it is considered that last season was a record one, on account of the Dunedin Exhibition.
