HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE A triple attraction programme shows to-night, also on Monday and Tuesdlay. There is a never-failing fascination, it seems, in the life behind the scenes, whether it be in the theatre, circus or carnival. This life has seldom been more correctly portrayed thian in “Spangles.’’ “Spangles” a circus picture is the main feature. The picture, of which practically all the action takes place in bnd round the “big top,” concerns itself with the romance between a little equestrienne, played by Marion Nixon, and a young man who joins the show under peculiar circumstances, which part is portrbyed by Pat O’Malley. Besides these players there appear such well-known and popular stars as Hobart Bosworth, Gladys Brockwcll, bnd others. The picture in support is “The Age of Innocence” and features Baverley Bayne and Elliott Dexter. Little Jackie Clarke again appears in b change of programme. His turn is proving most popular with Wanganui audiences. Special Matinee To-day There are three special items on at the matinee to be given at His Majesty’s Theatre to-dby, commencing at 2.15.
