RACES AT HAWERA COLEMAN MAKES A RECORD [ Per Press Association. ] HAWERA, Feb. 16. The annual racing fixture of the Hawera Motor Cycle Club was held to-day in glorious weather, and the track was very fast. In the fiying mile P. Coleman (heavyweight) established a record for the course, 47 2-ssec, only 2-ssecs higher than the world’s record. AV. Allen won the Hawera Handicap of seven miles, with R. Paton second and W. H. Berkett third. Time 7.40. H. Mangham won the Egmont Racing Club Handicap of nine miles, with S. V. McCready second and E. Edwards third. Time 9mins. The Eltham Handicap of six miles was won by H. Morgan. J. King was second and A. Harker third. Time, 6.27. The President’s Handicap (12 miles) resulted: C. E. Lowe 1, J. R. Arnott 2, H. Mangham 3. Time 11.21. Manaia Handicap (seven miles): A. Morgan 1, W. Allan 2, A. Harker 3. Time 7.41. Normanby Handicap (seven miles): C. E. Lowe 1, W. H. Herbert 2, J. R. Arnott 3. Time 4.45. Patea Handicap: C. E. Pearson 1, W. H. Berkett 2, H. V. Vamham 3. Last race: H. Moller 1, V. H. McCready 2, H. Coleman 3. Time 5.56
