WITHOUT A JURY
TRIAL OF REBELS WASHING UP IN PORTUGAL. STERN MEASURES AGAINST INSURGENTS. Received Feb. 15, 10.25 p.m. LISBON, Feb. 14. The Government has issued a decree that the revolutionaries be tried without a jury, but the sentences will be subject to confirmation by a Court of Appeal Moreover, the instigators will be made responsible for the damage caused by the bombardment. The Republican Guard will be disbanded and all political clubs and associations concerned in the revolt dissolved.
