The preliminary round must be completed by Saturday. SWIMMING The Taihape Swimming Club held its monthly meeting on Monday evening, Mr C. L. Dymock occupying the chair. It was resolved to hold a carnival for school children on Thursday afternoon, all children from the surrounding schools to be invited to compete. It was decided to write Mr Muller, of Wanganui, and ask him to endeavour to get N. Dowsett and Miss ' Whyman to pay a visit to Taihape, I when a special meeting would be arranged. PERSONAL Mr H. Fisher and family left Taii hape by car on Monday for a tour through Tokaanu and Rotorua. Mr L. GallowaV, of the Bank of I New Zealand staff, left yesterday on i transfer to Mangaweka.
