COMMUNISTS EXPELLED
LEADERS OF UNEMPLOYED BOGUS OFFER OF ASSISTANCE (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 14. Dissatisfaction existing among the unemployed since the Hon. A. D. Me|Leod had occasion to rebuke Mr S. H. 1 Fournier, one of a deputation waiting on 'him, on Friday, was brought to a head to-day, when a meeting of 120 unemployed decided to expel Fournier and M.r*H. Dunkley, two self-appointed leaders with Communistic leanings, on th-e ground that their presence was detrimental to the interests of those seeking work. An offer of £2OO raid to been mJade to Mr Dunkley by one A. P. McKay and announced by Mr Dunkley at a meeting of unemployed on Saturday, turns out to have been a joke. The address the mtan gave was that of a vacant section.
