WANGANUI EAST CLUB VISITORS FROM FEILDING On Saturday a team of Feilding players played a match against the Wanganui East Club on the Wanganui East courts. The result was a win for the visitors by 18 sets to 14. Following 'are the results (Feilding players being mentioned first): — Ladies’ Singles:—Mrs Caldwell beat Mrs Newman, 7-6; Miss Barltrop beat Mrs Jones, 7-3; Miss Shepherd beat Miss McCormick, 7-0; Miss Boddy beat Mrs Christie, 7-0; Miss Foster beat Mrs New, 7-2; Miss Ellerm beat Mrs Husband, 7-0; Mrs Lbnge lost to Miss Quarterman, 5-7; Miss Fish lost to Miss Anderson, 6-7. Men’s Singles:—McConachie lost to J. Anderson, 7-&; Fawcett lost to Jones, 6-9; McGruer lost to Tukere, 5-9; Laurence lost to Forbes, 6-9; Graham beat R. Anderson, 9-1; Crook lost 'to Wells, 4-9; Robinson beat W. Swanger, 9-3; Miers lost to W. Swanger, jr., 6-9.
