A CLOSE GUARD
ON RUM RUNNERS TREATY WITH CANADA. PROOF OF DESTINATION REQUIRED Received December 29, 5.5 p.m. OTTAWA, Dec. 28. The Customs has announced that an anti-rum running treaty between Canada and the United States will come into full force, beginning to-day, providing that all ships clearing from Canada with, liquor cargoes must prove beyond doubt that cargoes arc to be landed at the destination.
