WAITOTARA.
ANGLICAN CHURCH “SHOP” (From the “Chronicle’s” Special Correspondent.). The Anglican Church held a most successful shop day in the hall on Friday last. The day was gloriously fine and there was a good attendance during the evening. Games and competitions were held. Air Burgess of Nukumaru had his wireless receiving set erected at the hall and many people who had never listened-in before wore able to. The church funds benefited to the extent of about £6O. PERSONAL Air R. J. Rae, late stationmaster here, and Airs Rae, spent the • week-end looking up old friends in Waitotara. Mrs H. J. Wilson, who has been seriously ill for several weeks in n private hospital in Wanganui, is now convalescent. Afr Arthur Turner, who recently had his leg broken, is now able to get about again. THE SCHOOL The breaking up of tho school takes place on Friday, December 17, when a picnic will be held on the Domain. Prizes will then be given out. In the event of it being wet the function will be hold in the hall. ,
