OLDEST IN THE WORLD
WEST AUSTRALIA ROCK FIND SCIENTISTS’ IMPORTANT DISCOVERY. STRATUM FIFTEEN MILLION YEARS OLD. PERTH, Sept. 4. A party of scientists visiting the Yilgarn field to examine sedimentary rocks have discovered the oldest known stratum in the world, its age being over 15,000,000 years. Madagascar had previously been regarded as having the oldest formation.
