Present quotations are: —Mutton: Fine, 45s fid to 46s per cwt..; fair to good 41s 6d to 455; dark to dull, 39s to 40s. Hemp.—Manila market irregular. “J” grade February-April shipments sold £44 15s down to £44, now quoted February-April and March-May shipments, £45 value. Sisal steady. Tanganyika No. 1 January-March shipments quoted at £45 value. New Zealand high points easy and offered £39 10s, any position.
