TROPHIES STOLEN

WELLESLEY CLUB’S LOSS. [Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, Dec. 22. Between the hours of 11.30 p.m. and 2 a.m. Inst night, the Wellesley Club, Featherston Street, was broken into and six silver trophy cups stolen. There is an element of mystery in the theft in Ihc fact that there is not, the slightest sign about, the building of an entrance having been forced. The conclusion has been come to that the thief was secreted inside the building before the club was locked up. The total value of the trophies stolen was £55. The police have the matter under investigation.
