SECOND DAY ROYAL SHOW AFFECTS SHEEP AND CATTLE ENTRIES [Per Press Association.] PALMERSTON N., Nov. 5. The fortieth M'anawatu Spring Show continued to-day. There was a large attendance. Sheep and cattle entries were affected by the immense Royal Show at Christchurch, giving rise to the expression of opinion already voiced at Hastings and Carterton that the Royal Show should precede district displays. Results of judging to-day were: Championship Awards Sheep Lincoln: —(In wool) Champion ram, A. E. Anderson (Clareville); reserve, W. Howard Booth. Champion and reserve chamjiion ewes, P. Bremer (Okaiawa). Shropshire Down (in the wall): All championships, Sir Jas. Wilson (Bulls). Southdown (in the wool). Champion ram, 11. Burrell and Sons (Building); reserve champion, same exhibitor, champion ewe, Jas. Knight (Feilding); reserve, H. Burrell and Sons. Southdown (in wool and natural condition) —champion rain, R. Bremer (Waverley); reserve champion, same exhibitor. Champion ewe, Al. A. McLeod (Taonui); reserve champion, J. A. Russell (Palmerston North).
