£404.628 PROFIT FOR HALF-YEAR. SYDNEY, Nov. 5. At the half-yearly meeting of the Colonial Sugar Company the report showed a nett profit for the half-year of £404.628, compared with £435,575 for the previous half year. For the present half-year the earnings and investments, subject to Federal in-come-tax, contributed £227,922, and the New Zealand and Fiji, and investments not subject to Federal income tax, contributed £176,706. A dividend of ten per cent, and a bonus of 2A per cent, absorbed £304.658. An allocation of £100.900 was made to the reserve fund, and as £315.895 was brought forward, there is £.315,636 to be carried forward.
