A man with a good war record had his war wounds set down as the indirect cause of theft, to which he plead?<l guilty in the Magistrate’s Court this morning. The man, Nathaniel John Reed, : g?d 37. pleaded guilty to charges of having failed to account for £26 9s to B. N. R. McDonald. Wanganui. Chief .Detective Gibson said ih accused had collected the money in cmnoction with an art union conducted in Wanganui. He had a good war r<<<o ~ and was respected until he Ih I •ad a fast life. Accused was admitted It- i probation.
