A LOFTY MESSAGE
GOVERNOR-GENERAL AT CHRISTCHURCH. ADVICE TO SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS. [Per Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 3. “Loyalty to your King means loyalty to your country. Loyalty to your country means service, and service means not only good citizenship, but the doing of your best in any occupation you may follow.” This was the keynote of various addresses given at secondary schools in Christchurch this morning by His Excellency the Governor-General, who, in company with Lady Alice Fergusson, Mr Bernard Fergusson, and the Mayor of Christchurch (Mr J. K. Archer) made a tour of inspection. Schools visited were Canterbury College, Christ’s College, Training College, St. Andrew’s College, and St. Bede’s ColI lege.
