CANDIDATES AND PROHIBITION
(To the Editor) &>r, Ro prohibition and the coming election. For 26 years I have voted prohibition and have supported the prohibition cause with iunds to the very best of my ability. I regret to say now that 1 must take away my support from a body of people who go to the length of saying that they will only give their votes to the candidates who support their veiws. They are at the present time putting a series of questions to the three candidates who are standing for Wanganui. The first of these is a sample of what they want; this reads, “Are you in favour of prohibition or continuance?’’ Now, sir, I slay definitely that any people who are prepared to sell their birthright to the Red Feds and Bolsheviks are not worthy of anyone’s support, and it is my conviction that the cause of prohibition will get the biggest set-back as a result of this arbitrary action it could posisbly have. Thanking you, — I am, etc., COMMON SENSE.
