GOVERNOR-GENERAL AT CHRISTCHURCH [Per Press Association,] CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 1. Their Excellencies, Sir Charles and Lady Alice Fergusson, arrived from Timaru yesterday. This afternoon His Excellency unveiled the New Brighton War Memorial in the presence of a very large attendance of spectators. VISIT TO TIMARU SIR CHARLES AND LADY FERGUSSON’S POPULARITY [Per Press Association.! TIMARU, Nov. 1. The Governor-General and Lady Fergusson concluded a three days’ visit to Timaru on Saturday. Their Excellencies visited schools, the public hospital, the Old People’s Homo, and tho Anglican Orphanage, attended the A. and P. Show, Trotting Club’s race meeting, and inspected parades of Boy Scouts and Girl Guides. Everywhere they made themselves most popular.
