NOTICE TO CORRESPONDENTS

We have endeavoured to-day to “clean up” all the correspondence relating to Wednesday’s polls, as this is tho last day on which anything that may provoke controversy can be inserted; to publish fresh letters to-morrow would bo to deny other writers a right of reply to them before polling day. Letters on subjects apart from the election, especially long letters, have had to wait, and some dealing with the general election hud the licensing poll have been omitted. It has been necessary to make a selection in order to keep within th© limits of the available space, and this has been done with every desire to be fair and impartial.— Ed. “Chronicle.”
