CHARLES CHAPLIN IN “PAY DAY. ’ ’ TOWN HALL ON ELECTION NIGHT. (From the “Chronicle’s” Special Correspondent). Charles Chaplin will make his appearance at the Bulls Town Hall on Wednesday night in “Pay Day.” The face, tbe walk and the antics may be the same; but tho laughs are different and the story is new in “Pay Day.” Such at least is the contention of the comedian himself, who asserts that he has never given so much thought and time to putting humour into anything as in this latest picture; a short comedy which is fast equalling in popularity the record retained bv some of the star’s longer releases". The funniest rib-tickler ever seen. A riot of roaring rampages.
