33,000 IN U.S. AND CANADA. FEE SPLITTING ATTACKED. Received October 30, 8.55 p.m. NEW YORK, Oct. 29. Over 33,000 are practising some form of surgery in the United States or Canada, Dr. Franklin H. Martin, director of the American College of Surgeons, told the convention at Philadelphia. Dr. Martin attacked the evil of fee splitting between members of the medical profession. Dr. Walter F. Chipman, of Montreal, was nominated president of the College for 1926, Dr. Clarence Starr (Toronto) vice-president, and Dr. Charles F. Nassau (Philadelphia) secretary.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
