BEEF SLIGHTLY EASIER. NO ALTERATION IN SHEEP PRICES. [Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Oct. 28. At Westiield sale to-day there was an average yarding of beef, prices being slightly easier. There was a steady demand throughout the sale. Extra choice ox, £2 6s per lOOlbs.; choice and prime, £2 Is to £2 4s; others, 35s to £2; prime young cow and heifer beef, to £2 is per lOOlbs.; other good, 34s to Sheep.—A fair yarding. There was practically no alteration in last week’s prices. No extra prime heavy wethers were yarded. Heavy prime woolly wethers, £2 5s to £2 (is 6d; best shorA, £1 19s; medium woolly, £2 Is to £2 4s; medium ewes, £2 2s; best shorn, 35s 6d; other woolly ewes, £1 ]ss to £1 17s; other, 31s to 32s 6d.

Pigs.—A smaller yarding. Prices showed a slight decrease on last week’s rates. Choppers made £3 10s to £5 Ils; heavy medium baconers, £4 15s to £5 ss; light baconers and heavv porkers, £4 10s to £4 14s; medium and light porkers, £3 9s to £3 14s.

Calves.—A largo yarding, prices being slightly easier. Runners made £4 10s to £5 75;.. heavy vealers, £3 10s to £4 ss; medium, £3 to £3 6s; light, £2 5s to £2 15s; small, 17s to £1 Bs;’ fresh dropped, 3s to 7s.

Lambs.—There was an average yarding, selling at late rates. Heavy prime lambs made 375; medium, 31s 6d to 35s 6d; light, 25s tr. 30s.
