COSTLY EXPERIMENT
“GASPIPE” RIFLE EXPLODES BOY SUSTAINS SERIOUS INJURIES Gordon Hudson, aged 14, was admitted to tho Palmerston North Hospital on Monday evening from Levin, suffering from serious injuries to the eyes and abrasions to tho face. It is reported that the lad made a rifle out of an old gaspipe, also manufacturing his own powder. The ultimate discharge of the home made weapon resulted in the above injuries.
