FULL PROGRAMME TO-DAY MEETING IN THE CITY The Prime Minister, the Hon. J. G. Coates, will pay his promised visit to Wanganui to-day. This morning at 11 o’clock Mr Coates will unveil the Waverley War Memorial. He was invited to perform this duty some time but could not then arrange to visit Waverley. When he found that he could pay a visit to-day he expressed his willingness to accept the long-stand ing invitation, and the Memorial Committee at once made the necessary arrangements. Mr Coates will come on to Wanganui and will address a public meeting at the Opera House at 2.30 p.m. He hns to be at Marton at 5 o ’clock to lay the foundation stone of the new Post Office, and after dinner at Marton he will go to Feilding to give an address. The following telegram was received yesterday by the Mayor of Wanganui, Mr Hope Gibbons, from Mr Coates;— “I am paying a short visit to Wanganui to-morrow afternoon and will deliver an address at 2.30. Will y (lu do mo the honour of presiding!” Mr Hope Gibbons replied at once that it was an honour, and he would have very great pleasure in doing it. It is expected there will be a very, large attendance of the public to-day.
