Mr and Mrs J. W. Bailey returned to town yesterday after a short holiday in Hamilton and Auckland.
Mr H. 0. Hassall, who has been seriously ill, is making a good recovery. He attended the Scafield golf tournament yesterday, and was warmly welcomed.
Mr Fred House, one of the best known commercial travellers in the Dominion, has retired from tho road, anil has come back to his old home town, Wanganui, to spend well-earned retirement. Mr House has been a patient at Belverdale private hospital for over a month, but left the institution yesterday.
