WANGANUI COLLEGIATE SCHOOL SPORTS

LARGE NUMBER OF VISITORS. A SUCCESSFUL GATHERING. A large number of visitors were attracted to Wanganui yesterday, when the Collegiate School conducted its annual sports gathering on the College grounds. The programme was commenced in the morning and continued throughout the day, despite the fact that intermittent showers fell in the afternoon and a cold wind swept across the ground. The track was fairly heavy, but, generally speaking, the times were quite up to standard. All the events were keenly contested, and close finishes were invariably the result.
