MOONEE VALLEY RACES MANFRED’S NARROW WIN. BEATS THE NIGHT PATROL BY A HEAD. Received October 25, 5.5 p.m. MELBOURNE, Oct. 24. The Moonee Valley races were held to-day in fine weather. Three horses were killed in the Steeplechase. Following are the results of the principal events:— W. S. Cox Plate. (Of £750; w.f.a.; 94 furlongs). MANFRED (B. Cracknell 3 There were six starters and Manfred won by a short head, Pantheon being three lengths away. Time: I.s7—an Australasian record. The winner was accorded a great ovation. Moonee Valley Cup.
