SUICIDE
MAN SHOOTS HIMSELF. [Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, Oct. 22. A man named Thomas H. O’Brien, whose people reside in Kingsland, shot himself at Surfdale this morning. O ’Brien had been employed working on road formation at Surfdale during the winter months. He and a fellow workman were living together in a hut. Last night they both retired early, and O’Brien appeared to be in his usual state of health. This morning he was found missing from his bed, and his mate discovered a note on.the table. Proceeding to a shed on Surfdale wharf, he discovered that O’Brien had shot himself with a revolver.
At the inquest a verdict of suicide was returned.
