FIGURES FOR SEPTEMBER QUARTER. AN ADVANCE ON PREVIOUS YEAR [Per Press As-ociation.) WELLINGTON, Oct. 22. Post Office Savings Bank deposits for the September quarter were £8,779,104 and withdrawals £9.063,086, exceeding deposits by £283,981. A year ago the figures were: Deposits £7,333,455, withdrawals £7,774.402, the excess of ■withdrawals over deposits being £440,947. The Postal revenue for the September quartjrr totalled £353,688, compa red with £334,755 a year ago. Telegraph revenue amounted to £375,360 against £346,256 a year ago. Telephone exchanges accounted for £188.186 of the latter item. This year the increase is £14,956 on tho corresponding period last year. Postal notes sold amounted to £235,196. yielding £5315 commission [included in the above Postlal receipts). The respective figures a vear ago wore £220,269 and £4986.
