The death occurred at Greymouth last night of Mrs Phoebe Ellen Cunliffo aged 82, a sister of the late Mr R. .1 Seddon. For half a century she re sided on the coast. She was very high ly esteemed. Dr. L. Frazer Hurst, medical super intendent at Bay of Islands, is to sneceed Dr. G. A. A. Forrest, chief medical officer at Palmerston North Ho* pital. During the past fifteen years Dr. Frazer Hurst has held hppoinb ments at various hospitals in the Do minion, and served overseas with No 1 Stationary Hospital. An interesting function took place at the East Town workshops yesterday, when Mr Eric W. Ansley was presented with a set of stainless knives and spoons on the occasion of his marriage. The presentation was made by Mr W. Kennedy, in the, absence of the boilershops foreman, Mr Kirk. The proceedings terminated with cheers for Mr and Mrs Anslcv.
