LONDON WOOL SALES
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from their London house under date of the 23rd inst.:— “As compared with last stales’ closing rates prices are lower about par to 5 per cent, for merino medium, coarse greasy crossbred, scoured crossbred, line greasy crossbred and crossbred slipe. Higher about par to 5 per cent, for lambs’ merino fend crossbred and greasy merino super. About the same for scoured merino super. Lower about 5 per cent, for merino inferior, merino greasy and crossbred. The sales closed with a fairly firm tone. Competition on German and French account is active. The Home trade is inactive. M
